What do the five verbs mean?

In two lines #

Five verbs, defined by the facts of each line. Each line calls for a decision, and only one at a time.

The five verbs

  • Adopt: it is used, and decided.
  • Regularize: it is used, without a decision.
  • Reclaim: it is paid, and not used.
  • Turn off: it has neither usage nor decision.
  • Consolidate: it overlaps with another one.

The steps #

  1. In “The register”, the “Decision” column carries “to decide” as long as no decision is recorded; “Open” leads to the fact sheet, where the verb is chosen.
  2. Check the “Decision” layer: the counters say how many features are decided and how many are left to decide; the filter sorts the lines by verb (adopted, regularized, reclaimed, turned off, consolidated, no decision).
  3. To record a decision: see Record a decision.

On the Arvenne example #

Arvenne's AI lead regularizes the meeting recaps and turns off the AI companion of the video conferencing tool.

What Ojja does not do #

The verb is proposed by the method and decided by the company, with an author, a date and a reason. Ojja executes nothing: the administrator applies the decision in the tool, and the next snapshot records that it is done.

The method #

The five verbs.
