What does “what lies dormant” mean?
In two lines #
What lies dormant is the paid seats that nobody has used over the last twenty-eight days, with the date on which they can be reclaimed. The public method defines it this way. Dormant: the yearly sum of licensed seats not used over twenty-eight days multiplied by the price per seat, with the date on which they can be reclaimed: the contract anniversary, or its end for a multi-year commitment.
The steps #
- In your readout, “What lies dormant” gives the amount per year.
- Open the list: one line “… seats … with no usage over 28 days” per plan.
- Read the date: “Reclaimable at renewal on … (read, to be confirmed).”
- “(of which … on disabled accounts)”: seats still assigned to accounts that your directory has disabled.
- “Usage not read on this reading”: usage was not read; no amount is shown for these seats.
Decide before the deadline. An idle seat can be reclaimed at renewal; after that, it is paid until the next renewal.
With Ojja Watch, the line is decided with the verb “reclaim” (see The five verbs).
On the Arvenne example #
On the Arvenne example, the Notion AI line carries the decision “reclaim”.
What Ojja does not do #
Ojja removes no seat: your administrator does it in the vendor's console.
