Connect ChatGPT to HubSpot
What ChatGPT and HubSpot document about their connection: what it does, what it takes to turn it on, what it costs and the data that passes from one to the other. Each fact with its source at the vendor and its date.
What the connection does
- What it does. The connection brings quick answers and in-depth analysis based on HubSpot context into ChatGPT (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
- The direction. In both directions.
- The mode. Through an integration offered by the vendor.
What it takes to turn it on
- The editions or licenses required. The connection is available to all HubSpot customers, whatever their tier, with an OpenAI account (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
- What it costs on top, or how it is billed. Not documented by the vendor.
- Who turns it on. In ChatGPT, the user opens Settings then Apps, selects HubSpot, then clicks Connect (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
- The prerequisites. A Super Admin, or a user with App Marketplace access, can connect without prior approval; for every other user, a Super Admin must approve first (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
The data that flows
- What passes. The connection can create and update CRM records in HubSpot and log activities there; it can also access and analyze the full engagement history of HubSpot records (emails, calls, meetings, notes, tasks) (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
- Whether the source tool's permissions are respected. The connection automatically respects the user permissions set in HubSpot (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
- Where the data is processed. The connection respects the account's data center location when data is routed through HubSpot servers; for example, an account hosted in the EU has its requests routed through the EU data center (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
- Training. OpenAI respects the account's training settings. With a ChatGPT Enterprise, Business or Education plan, data from this connection is not used for training, consistent with their standard terms. With a Free, Go, Pro or Plus (consumer) plan, the user can opt out of model training in their ChatGPT settings; if not, OpenAI may use the connection's data to improve how it works (tool use, retrieval accuracy), but not for general model training (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
- Retention. OpenAI keeps the data accessed through this connection so that it works in ChatGPT; when the OpenAI account is closed, some data may be kept for service history (according to HubSpot's documentation, read on 10/17/2026).
With Ojja
Ojja tells you whether you already pay for both tools, whether the connection is turned on in your company, who uses it, and the usage before and after: it is the “Connect” lever of what your tools can already do.
What Ojja never does
- Ojja does not advise you to choose a vendor: it records what each one documents.
- Ojja does not say whether a use is permitted: it gives the facts, and the points to review with your counsel.
Ojja does not provide legal advice: it records and documents; how the law applies to your situation is for your counsel to determine.
