How do we download our readout as a PDF?
In two lines #
At the top of the readout page, the “Download as PDF” link gives you the document to keep or hand over: dated, and the same for everyone in the workspace. The first download archives it, and its fingerprint is shown under the link.
The steps #
- Open “Your readout”. The “Download as PDF” link is at the top of the page, for anyone who sees the readout, readers included. Until a readout is ready, there is no link.
- Click “Download as PDF”. The document carries at the top the name of your workspace and “Readout of” followed by the readout date. If the page answers “The PDF is being prepared. Try again in a few seconds.”, try again a little later.
- After the first download, the page shows under the link “Fingerprint of the archived PDF:” followed by a string of characters (SHA-256). Later downloads of the same readout give exactly the same file, with the same fingerprint.
Good to know:
- The PDF uses the figures of the stored readout, without recalculation: the same as the page. The Watch offer and the payment link are not in it.
- A new readout, on another date, gives a new PDF; the old one stays archived.
- To check that a PDF you received has not changed, compute its SHA-256 fingerprint and compare it with the one on the page.
On the Arvenne example #
On the Arvenne example, the PDF is produced on demand, carries “Fictitious data” in its footer, and is not archived: no fingerprint is shown.
What Ojja does not do #
The PDF contains no employee name, no email address and no usage figure per person, just like the page. Ojja does not send the PDF by email: you download it from the workspace.
